Serk is a cycling company based in Beijing China. The founders are Australian Shannon Bufton and Beijinger Liman Zhao. Serk was a pioneer in the Chinese cycling scene and have been developing new cycling culture and events across China since 2009. Serk was a founding partner of Smarter Than Car (www.smarterthancar.com) China’s first cycling advocacy group and urban research unit.

In 2012 we launched Asia’s first bicycle shop / bar and cafe which featured in Soigneurs favourite global bicycle spaces and Cyclingtips Coolest Bike Shops in the World. From 2012 – 2014 Serk co-organized the Beijing Vintage Ride which was awarded a Cycling Visionaries award at the 2013 Velocity conference in Vienna.

Serk were media advisors to the UCI Tour of Beijing and have provided strategic advice on Chinese cycling to numerous UCI Pro teams. Serk have been running pioneering Frontier Cycling trips across Asia since 2014 which have been featured in Cyclingtips and Bicycling Magazine. In 2017 Serk launched their own unique range of titanium adventure and road bikes proudly designed and manufactured in Beijing.
